2008 Southern Highlands Foundation 5K Race and Fall Festival scheduled for Saturday - October 25th, 2008
On Saturday - October 25th, the Southern Highlands Foundation will be again be hosting its 5K Race and Fall Festival at Goett Family Park.
Registration is from 7:00 am - 8:45 am
Race and Walk begins at 9:00 am
Fall Festival activites are from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Those of you who were there last year know what a truly fabulous event this is! Thousands of people attend to participate in the race and enjoy all the entertainment, food, vendor booths, games and other activities. The Fall Festival features a Kids Zone and various Halloween Events.
Proceeds from this event are being shared between Boys Hope, Girls Hope, DSOSN, Childrens Heart Foundation and The Southern Highlands Boys and Girls Club.
As DSOSN did last year, funds we receive will be specifically used towards our much needed Speech Therapy Program. Last year we received $60,000 for speech from this wonderful event. This would of not been possible without the support of very generous sponsors, runners and our DSOSN members who participated in this event and showed their support.
We are asking all DSOSN members to come out again and show their continuig support and appreciation for Southern Highlands hosting this event and selecting us as one of their designated charities.
