“SAY CHEESE…”
Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada is pleased to announce the launch of a new, exciting project….our very own Annual Photo Calendar! The calendar will be full of photos of our fabulous members, as well as snapshots from all of our exciting events, and of course, monthly calendars to help you keep track of your favorite DSOSN programs, events and activities!
We need everyone to bring at least one prop, a favorite toy, book, etc. Then two pairs of clothing. Whatever reflects the child or adult best. Sorry I had to assign dates to make it work.
On July 1st we need Ashley Mockbee Clayton Rhodes, Zach Warriner, and lastly Nick Calarco to meet at the Bellagio Atrium, We let you know prior to meet. Directions are : Main entrance off of Las Vegas blvd go to the left go to self parking garage. Go to casino level walk right out of the elevators and the atrium is right there.
As for everyone else we are meeting at the photographers site.

RE- LIVE JOY PROM 2009
For everyone that attended the Joy Prom and want to re-live the fabulous night come to the DSOSN on July 6th at 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.! We plan to munch on popcorn and watch everyone as movies stars at the Joy Prom. Bring a blanket or pillow to sit on, and your favorite movie food or candy to share!
Before you departing for the night you will receive your very own copy of the DVD of the night!!

Cheer Camp at the DSOSN
We have an All- Star cheerleader that is wants to teach a cheer camp for girls for ages 8- 10 years old, on July 8th from 5 to 7p.m.. ( We are asking the Parents to arrive to pick the girls up at 6:30, so the girls can present their Cheer) The evening is full of Cheer Cookies, a Cheer Craft, Learning an official Cheer, and an certificate!
Here is a Bio on our Coach:
My name is Hailey Jones and I am 11 years old going into 6th grade. I love to cheer and have just finished being the captain of my school's cheer team. I also love working with kids. I help every Wednesday and Saturday night at my church in children's ministry for the last year. I also got the privilege of working with the Down Syndrome organization at the recent Joy. It was one of the most exciting evenings of my life. I look forward to teaching young girls all I know about cheer and having a special evening of fun together!

Every Thursday morning the Galleria at Sunset and Henderson Libraries will present Summertime Tales. There will be STORIES, SONGS, ACTIVITIES, and Special Surprise Guests. Every week will be a new adventure. Siblings welcomed!

Volunteer to help feed the homeless at Las Vegas Rescue Mission

4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The DSOSN adopted every third Wednesday of the month, to be our Night. Members will meet up to help feed the homeless. This is a great way for us to give back to our community,
and enjoy each other's company.
If anyone under the age of 16 would like to volunteer please be bring a chaperone.
