To ensure that our members have ongoing and continued access to the digital space on the internet, DSOSN has secured iPads and laptop computers, which are made available on a loan basis to members upon request/completion of the application process. The iPads and laptop computers are uploaded with a variety of assistive technology programs and applications that are designed to address a wide range of developmental needs of persons diagnosed with Down syndrome and other IDD. Some of the areas addressed by the applications include: speech development; verbal communication/pronunciation; comprehension and retention; reading skills (including people diagnosed with Dyslexia), and basic math/calculations programs.
