Public-Speaking Class

About The Program

Public-Speaking Class: This is a 10-week course, designed to develop self-advocacy and public speaking skills; verbal communication; essay writing/comprehension skills; character building blocks; moral values; culminated with verbal presentation of essay before parents/friends. Each class will have three facilitators who have skills/professional experience in the following areas: Teaching Writing/Comprehension, Public Speaking, and Leadership Training. The facilitators will be assisted by up to six volunteers, who will provide one-on-one in-class support for each student and act as their “Inclusion Coaches” (the first class of 15 students will graduate on May 20, 2023).
