Employment Preparation, Training, and Job-Placement: This is an in-house curriculum-based and structured program, where persons with IDD are trained for employment opportunities, suited to their abilities. Working with State agencies and private industries, a designated DSOSN staff will coordinate the pairing of participants with appropriate companies and provide the necessary training for them to take up intern and/or apprentice/entry-level positions in those companies. The program also includes ongoing support to enhance development and growth on the job, and, as needed, to advocate for the interest and welfare of the participating member.
