The DSOSN Fundraising Initiative - "30 in 30"

This is a program-specific fundraising initiative to raise $30,000 in 30 days, starting on February 20th and will culminate on March 21st, WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY.

Our Purpose

Helping Our Creative Programs Thrive

To raise $30,000 to support and sustain three specific programs provided by DSOSN, for the remainder of the year:

Performing Arts

Dance Troupe

Art-Painting Class

The Orleans Showroom

Businesses & Philanthropic Organizations

  • Donate $500-1,000 to support 2-4 weeks of Art Class
  • Donate $2,000-4,000 to support 1-2 months of professional dance instruction for 30 members of the DSOSN Awesome Shock Dance Troupe
  • Donate $5,000-10,000 to supplement cost for costumes, props, professional instructors’ fees, and rental of venue (The Orleans Showroom) for rehearsals and staging of DSOSN production: The Little Mermaid (July 19th).

Incentives for Business & Organizations:

  • Name/business logo on website (for up to 1 year, based on donation)
  • Donor/Business acknowledged on SM platforms (any amount donated)
  • Name/logo on e-program (1/2 or full page, based on amount donated)
  • Name/logo on programs sponsored by the donor/business
  • Promotion of donor at 2026 Buddy Walk and Festival of Trees & Lights
  • Tickets for four to attend staging of The Little Mermaid on July 19th.

DSOSN Members (can create a fundraising drive using these tools):

  • Place DSOSN donation jar in neighborhood stores/businesses
  • Fundraising Calendar-Pick a Date to Donate Cards (provided by DSOSN)
  • Make a personal donation

Incentives for members/supporters (any one of the following three):

  • One ticket to The Little Mermaid for every $100 raised
  • One ticket to FOTL for every $1,000 raised
  • Two raffle tickets to grand prize for every $300 raised (grand prize will be a 2-night stay at a hotel on the Strip…drawing will be on March 21st at the DSOSN World Down Syndrome Day BBQ celebration).

All donations should be made through the DSOSN Zelle account (Phone No. 702-969-2440). In the comments section, please write: “30 in 30-Performing Arts, Dance, or Art.”

Fundraising Progress

30 in 30 Fundraising Update

In the first week of our 30 IN 30 fundraising campaign (as of February 28th), DSOSN members and their families have raised a total of $6,267, just over 20% of our 30-day goal. While our ideal weekly goal is $7,500, this is a tremendous accomplishment by our members and their parents.

To help us to reach our goal, we are now appealing to all our supporters, including anyone who has ever attended our signature events (Las Vegas Buddy Walk-Festival of Trees and Lights), seen the results of, and/or participated in any of our impactful programs (Art, Dance, Public Speaking, Computer Lab, Reading Clinic, and of course, our Performing Arts), to please join in this campaign by making a financial contribution (see the donation options under Additional Information above).
