The FOTL is DSOSN’s signature fundraising event. It is a grand gala black-tie optional event, with live auction of elaborately decorated Christmas trees. The event culminates with a four-course dinner and dance. This year’s FOTL will be held on November 12th, at the Las Vegas Westgate Hotel (see website, dsosn.org/FOTL 2024, for details)

Volunteers for this event will be assigned to various tasks and functions, such as logistics, guest-registration, and greetings/hospitality on the night of the event.

While the planning team will determine (and later announce) the more specific duty assignments, the following are some general assignments for which volunteers can sign up:

November 9, 10, & 11: From 8am to 8pm-Assist with Tree Decorations NOTE: Volunteers may sign up for 4 hours at a time on these days

November 12: From 8am to 12 noon: Assist with finishing touches/set-up

November 12: From 3pm to 11pm: Greeting/seating guests, and assist during live auction to collect donations/purchases of auction items

NOTE: Volunteers for this assignment must be 21 years and older

November 13: From 8am to 12 noon: Assist with packaging trees and other purchased auction items for delivery

All volunteers will receive a schedule, training, recommended attire, and other information regarding their functions, based upon the times they signed up to volunteer.
