Public-Speaking Class: This class is held on Tuesdays, form 4-6 pm (over a period of 12 weeks), and is designed to develop self-advocacy and public speaking skills; verbal communications; essay writing/comprehension skills; character building blocks; moral/ethical values, and is culminated with a verbal presentation of the student’s essay at graduation. Each class will have three facilitators who have skills/professional experience in the following areas: Teaching Writing/Comprehension, Public Speaking, and Leadership Training. The facilitators will be assisted by volunteers, who will provide one-on-one in-class support for each student and act as their “Inclusion Coaches.”
The first class of this year (2025) will start on February 25th.
