Buddy Walk is an annual event that promotes the interest and awareness of persons diagnosed with Down syndrome. This year, the DSOSN Buddy Walk will be held on Sunday, October 8th, at Town Square Las Vegas, from 8:00 am to 1pm. We need 50 Volunteers for various tasks, at different times throughout the event. Set-up will start at 6:00 am, and Break-down will start at 12:30 pm. Volunteers will be assigned to teams and crews, such as the set-up/break-down crews; traffic coordination/parking lot crew; walk-route monitoring team; registration team; volunteer scheduling/coordinating team; hospitality team; slides/bouncers monitoring crew; resource fair/vendor supporting team, and various other miscellaneous duties/functions. We are requesting that volunteers for the event sign up for a minimum of four hours, starting from 6am. Volunteers will be given a free T-Shirt and a ticket for a box lunch. To guarantee shirt sizes, volunteers must register no later than September 1, 2023. A general orientation date will be set for all Buddy Walk volunteers, and subsequent training will be provided by the team-leaders for the respective tasks.
